JAMA Pownes Dietary Guidelines

Fat ingestion, in general, is fine.
Saturated Fat is not bad.

Carbohydrate food sources are not necessary and are not created equal.
Protein food sources are not created equal.
Individual compounds in isolation are largely unimportant.
Food labels suck.

Very interesting blog, and an interesting post on the JAMA commentary on the 2010 Dietary Guidelines.  I wonder if JAMA's approach will be consistent on this new tack?  Maybe GT's books made a difference after all.  Or, like Coach Glassman said, "The truth is like a beach ball, it takes effort to hold it under water and eventually, it come to the top."
