Reading this story, think of the paleolithic model. If a high sugar, high insulin, high IGF1 environoment is 'tumorigenic', and a paleolithic diet is useful for keeping relatively low blood sugars, insulin levels and IGF1 levels (which it definitely can be, which you can test in your own body via relevant measures), then we would be less likely to 'nurture' the mutated cancer cells into full growth. The idea then is you might die with an unmatured cancer, but you wouldn't die from a cancer.
Eat paleo to create an environment, refined for millions of years, which does not support tumor growth, which, by the way, is what whales also do, albeit, unknowingly!
